NBC News: A Cleaning Routine You Can Actually Stick To

Do you struggle with keeping your home clean?

Maybe things start to pile up and it feels like a never-ending battle to get a hold on your environment. Or maybe you’re too worn out from the day to clean in your free time.

If this is something you struggle with, check out my feature on NBC News where I discuss ways you can your space clean without completely giving up your sanity.

Start by being realistic about what’s possible and then decide which areas bother you the most when they’re dirty. Figure out whether you’d rather do a little bit every day or block out a chunk of time on the weekend and put it into your calendar.

I often tell my clients to experiment to see what works for them and adjust as needed.

Up Journey: Why Is Hope So Important In Life?

Hope is a crucial part of life because it’s what gives us meaning and allows us to believe in ourselves.

In this article, I discuss why hope is so important and how to cultivate hope when you’re not feeling it. We sometimes avoid feeling hopeful for fear of disappointment, but the absence of hope can lead to a defeatist or pessimistic attitude.

We don’t want to be pessimistic, but we also don’t want to be blindly optimistic either. Having hope still allows you to be realistic about what’s possible, while providing the energy to keep you moving and progressing.

I Am & Co: What Going With the Flow Means

When someone tells us to “go with the flow”, it can sometimes come off as them ignoring what’s going on and minimizing what you’re struggling with.

While it can be used this way, going with the flow is actually a really helpful state of being. It gives you the space to problem solve, to enjoy things, and to accept things as they are.

We don’t have to like something to accept it, and can actively be working towards change, we’re just deciding not to fight against reality or add to our suffering. In this article, I talk about what going with the flow really means and offer some tips to cultivate this kind of presence.
